I will try to help with this :D. After this plugin release, p-rec will be obsolete.

I vote for name “p-rec 3.0 casual edition”. I think it will be good p-rec replacement.

Actually the best thing would be to get valve to integrate automated point of view recording into source. Has anyone ever asked for a statement about that?

Updates will come there. All it does atm is just print a message on your screen if it thinks it should start or stop recording.

I separated the concept of a ‘controller’ (controls when to start/stop recording) with the actual recording accounting. This should make it easy to support other (source engine-based) games in the future.

More to come, let’s see if I can get something basic working this weekend. Will make new thread when it actually works.

Both AutoPov and admirable suggestion seem very good, I would go with admirable’s for the ensuing lulz, but I will still miss the name of the original P-REC echoing on mumble every time you pull out the big plays.

As for the plugin itself, I hope you can get to the same level of features P-REC had, it was amazing without a doubt, I can’t live without the automated killstreak logging, bookmark logging, auto delete useless demos, etc, etc… But its good that this is open source because we could probably get way more features added like possibly “medic drops logging”, automated airshot logging, etc etc…

Also, why no github?
