TF2 configs need a new maintainer

Hi Chris,
I really would like to know more about the tf2 engine, because I am kind of bored of tf2.
But I love the community and the only two things I could do to help it would be to help the wiki or to help players.
I am not asking to be the maintainer (maybe later) but i really want to learn and maybe later help other people.
So I was wondering if you could give me some goods links about the engine and maybe later I would be able to improve the autoexec

Yeah :) I was already reading it, so I am checking all the command used in maxframes to learn how they are used and if they are up to date
So,
After looking at all the valve commands for 2-3 hours I found 1 update and added 10 new commands to the DX8 maxframes config
I’d like to show them to Chris before anything else
Result +3% fps
Chris is only human too, it’s not like he’s the wizard of the source engine – if you’ve read everything on the valve wiki then you know as much as Chris does.

Pretty much this, although there are some things that aren’t on the Valve wiki, either because it just isn’t relevant, or because Valve doesn’t want it there. I also accrued a fairly decent knowledge of some of the networking and rendering internals from a few places (mostly source code, although I know C and they are written in C++, so I lack in a few places).
A lot of the config stuff is trial and error rather than anything grandiose, though. Change something that looks like it might do something, test it, implement it. Still, errors happen. I can’t test every use case. There are some things on the developer wiki which are out of date.

Hey vox, here’s a tip: If you want to start working on those configs, just do it and link them around places. There’s no official “important person” thing or anything. If you’re doing something cool and useful, word gets around. :)

Does anything explode if I put this in highframes?

cl_show_splashes 0 was set to 0 in highframes
r_maxdlights 0 same
r_renderoverlayfragment 0 same
