mat_queue_mode impact on overheat?

I play with chris maxframes and i have decent fps in 200-300 range usually, currently my pc crashes often because of overheating, i’m just guessing could the mat_queue_mode set to single thread decrease the pressure on the cpu and help to resolve my problems.
Maybe just get a better CPU cooler? You know, 80C it’s not good.

I know but going single core could probably reduce the pressure on the cpu as i said, i’m just not sure.
fps_max 61, just dont put anything stupid like 71 or random numbers that just make ur game lag horribly

Last time i used fps_max it lagged horribly with any value.
