For the past 2 weeks i have had this problem. It makes it almost impossible to aim projectiles consistently.
(for those of you who don’t know ping jitter is when your ping wont stay the same)
I have tried multiple routers. The cable company told me it wasn’t the modem or the connection. I don’t know what to do.
netgraph
ping 56, 78, 63, 89, 71, 47, 73, 91 in 2 second gaps
Its even worse to EU servers.
Lets try to isolate the issue first to see if it is an issue with your connection or just tf2. Lets do it by pinging a stable server, such as google.com. Here’s how:
Open command prompt like this:
Hold down the Windows key, and press R on the keyboard.
Type cmd in the window that opens and press enter.
Ping google.com with the following commands:
ping google.com -t -l 16
ping google.com -t -l 32
ping google.com -t -l 64
ping google.com -t -l 128
ping google.com -t -l 256
Let it ping for a minute or so for each packet size, and then terminate each one by pressing Ctrl+c. After terminating the ping it gives you minimum ping, average ping, maximum ping and possible packet loss. If there doesn’t seem to be any PL or jittering there, the issue might be with tf2. Try reseting tf2 completely to defaults and see if that helps.
did you try a different content server yet? Fixed it once for me.

Ofc they won’t tell you it’s problem on their side. Otherwise they would lose a customer. Just get another ISP.
ping google.com -t -l 16
min23 av40 max61
ping google.com -t -l 32
min25 av41 max72
ping google.com -t -l 64
min22 av36 max83 6% loss
The connection is wired
