nervousENERGY Open Double Mix Night Friday 5th August From 7BST/8CEST
nervousENERGY is always looking for ways to get new players into TF2 and the competitive scene. To further this, and to make lots of new friends, we’re hosting an open double mix night for new players to have a go at competitive 6v6 TF2 in a fun, relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The idea is to have 2 servers available, with mumble channels assigned, and to gather as many new players as we can find for a night of fun 6v6 action. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never played a 6v6 match before, as long as you have a microphone and a basic idea of map layouts and general class roles, (see here for some advice: http://etf2l.org/forum/league/topic-12510/?recent=274229 ), then you’re welcome to join us and see how you like the 6v6 game.
Rules
You must have a microphone and connect to the correct mumble channel
NO RAGE ALLOWED
Your name in mumble MUST match your in-game name, otherwise it will get very confusing
The matches will last 30 minutes or until a team is winning by 5 rounds
We can play as many matches as we like and there is interest for
You will need to sign up on our forums and post in this thread. Please post what class you would like to play. http://www.nervousenergy.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=4996.0
ETF2L season 9 config, rules and whitelist will be used, meaning this:
Allowed Weapons Outline
All of the standard weapons are allowed to be used. For the main competitive classes (Scout, Soldier, Demoman, Heavy Weapons Guy), The Bonk, Equalizer, Sandvich and Pain train are allowed. For the remaining Support classes (Pyro, Engineer, Medic, Sniper, Spy), all unlockables are allowed, except for the Vita-saw, Amputator and Wrangler.
We’re hoping this will be a nice way to introduce new players to the competitive scene, without the rage and general lack of teamwork and comms in places like tf2lobby.
If you’re interested just leave a post below with your preferred class and we’ll see you Friday 5th for some fun times. Feel free to pop onto our mumble server beforehand to introduce yourself too, it’s a public mumble so anyone can join and enjoy some good company with some good gaming. Check out the General Chat channel.
Mumble details: Address: mumble.nervousenergy.co.uk
Port: Default or 64738
Details of the server(s) being used will be posted on the threads here, and on our forums, closer to the time.
Good luck and have fun :)

So Chaplain is a bit of a legend, IDK are on board with this project now, offering a couple of servers for use on the night(s), plus we have a steam group the new players can join for information on ongoing nights of double mixing. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/6v6newmix
We’re also planning on getting experienced people to give a little bit of time with mentoring and getting the basics sorted via the steam group too. Speak to Chaplain about becoming an admin and helping out.
I wana play- Medic/Scout :)
