hey Guys
Looking for a couple of backup positions, with the times we play you will be guaranteed a few games every night pretty much! Preferably able to play scout or demoman, but soldier is always a bonus!
You should be:
Active
Preferably 18
Mature
Have very good english for matches and having a laugh after
Able to play into the late hours
Would be a huge plus if your willing to help our 2nd team improve, and mix with them whenever we arent playing
The usual other stuff
We are:
A clan coming up on a year old, so not likely to fold any time soon
2 servers
own mumble
good bunch of lads who have a laugh both in game and not
improving pretty fast and willing to learn
more usual stuff here

I have no fecking clue how these “skill” ratings are accurate.
But we’ll persist and continue to look!

Played a mix with some of em tonight, have improved lots and can easily go top div4/div3 next season. Oh and their website is sexy :D

Solid team, decent players, wouldn’t really call them mid but a low mid- clan.
I’d say they were far from ‘low mid-‘. I’d call them more of a top mid- clan with a massive potential to go mid with the right skill level that they currently have.

Like i said in the recruitment post ive already stated that we are not a mid team yet, but when you lose a player who is mid skilled trying to replace him with a lesser player is a bit pointless isnt it? so when we were advertising mid- we trialled i have no idea how many people, countless and some were good yes (then they decided to form there own team), but everyone else wasn’t keeping up with us, even allowing for trying to settle into a new team, so again, its pointless to recruit someone who we are going to have to carry!
Teams who are in div4 ETF2l we play pretty regularly with more success than not, it just so happens that whenever an official comes around one of us drops, lags out or some other weird thing that is out of our control, which is prob the main reason for us failing last year, or if your going by the “skill rankings”, low+/mid- is a roll, mid- we would usually win, and mid-/mid gives us a good challenge, hence what i have said in the recruitment post! To me there is no point in recruiting someone who isnt up to the job and if it requires you to search a higher skill (regardless of div) you should do it. The majority of people that play with us in mixes etc would say we arent a div5 team.
in REAL terms our skill rating should be low+/mid-, but in the inflated transfer market of the etf2l site that would get us some little kid who has just signed up, and thats not really what we are looking for, hence the skill rating above. so again like i said earlier, we arent a mid team yet, but to get the player that we need or the correct skill level that is what we have to advertise, cause (with us not helping this) everyone over-rates themselves, and also with a slight nudge we will easily be mid, as thats what level we were roughly at before our epic lineup issues.
if anyone thinks it would be a good idea to actually have a sticky at the top of the recruitment section for skill levels i would probably be more than happy to help, although obviously i wouldnt be able to do it for all the divs. the most frustrating thing for any clan leader is wasting time trialling people that think they are a skill rating that they are not even close to (although its alright aspiring to be that- but then if you are you should look for team at the top of your “rating” surely?

Nice bunch of guys. I’ve played with them more than a few times and always had a great time. Filled with chill, smart and talented people, I’d most likely trial them myself if I hadn’t got a team myself!
