Banner by Akio
Schedule
- Signups: NOW! – June 9th (Including Prem & Div 1, Signups are possible until the end of the first regular season week)
- Provisional Tiers: 28th/29th May
- Group Stages: 2nd June – 9th July
- Playoffs: 10th July – 24th July
Setup Changes
We’ll be applying some similar elements from the active Highlander season in a way to try and shift workloads for admins, aim to allow more players to play together and aim to adjust some of the struggles of the existing systems. However unlike the Highlander season it will only be one contiguous season (e.g. not multiple Group Stages)
Roster Lock
We’ll be applying a roster lock on the 28th of May and after that allow players to join through admin requests instead. This will be possible up until the start of the last week after which no new players will be able to join teams.
For all divisions players cannot be more experienced (in accordance with rule 2.7) or rostered in a team higher than the tier of the team they want to join. Experience in other leagues is also included.
Map Pool
All divisions will use a map pick & ban system each week, based on a rotating 6-map pool.
Refer to the Map Pool section below for the full list of maps and their weekly rotations.
Class Restrictions
We’ll not be applying any class restrictions at the start of the season UNLESS if a team signing up explicitly asks for it. This means that teams might have large skill gaps between its players but we’re trying to put a bit more emphasis on allowing people to play with their friends on the class they enjoy playing the most.
Swiss
We’re swiss’ing it up and aiming to have it across more of our divisions. This isn’t that big of change for most teams, but we will be aiming to split teams up into smaller groups. With this competition only running for 5 weeks rather then 7, we can aim to have a tier be between 8-32 teams, with 16 being the rough sweet spot. However, the biggest sweet spot is making sure every team belongs in their respective division.
It’s not impossible that we’ll run round robin for a specific division, but it will be influenced by signups and confirmed together along with the provisional tiers.

For our all our divisions, all maps are set and fully confirmed:

Team B eliminates a map
Team B eliminates a map
Team A eliminates a map
Team B picks the map to be played first
The remaining map is the second map
In Case of Fresh Division
We’re seeing if a fresh division will be needed. For this, we’d run a smaller map pool that makes it a bit easier for new players to get into competitive. We’ll determine if this division will be used based off of signups.

- cp_snakewater_final1
- cp_sunshine
- cp_gullywash_f9

Playoffs
Playoff Information will be announced closer to season start. We’ll aim to shorten the playoff period.
Sign-up Process
First and foremost, you must sign your team up here:
Then, if you are applying for Division 6/Open tier (which is our entry division), you do not have to provide any proof that you are capable of playing at that level.
Otherwise, we encourage you to send in an application through the ticket system in our Discord or by directly contacting a league admin, with the following information:
– Team name, Division you apply for and ETF2L team link
– Roster
– Recent results and logs associated to them
– Reasons why your team deserves to be placed in the tier you applied for (optional)
e.g.
– Team BIG EXPLOSION, Premiership, https://etf2l.org/teams/1/
announce the roster with the classes
– 5-2 vs Team Aoshi’s All Stars (Prem) : https://logs.tf/012345
Teams that do not send an email or contact the admins risk losing their spot in the division they are asking for.
Please note that the success of your request also strongly depends on the free slots in the tier you aim for. Established teams will be favoured over new teams or teams that request to jump a tier.
