poLANd.tf 2025 #highlander – sign-ups

We are getting closer and closer to the July – the month where we are going to organize a Highlander LAN in BaseStack Łódź. The highlander community expressed their interest through a form and now we are gathering people interested in participating. The in person event will take place between the 18th and 20th of July.

Depending on the final amount of sign-ups, we will define an exact schedule, however we aim to start on Friday between 13-14 CEST and finish around 22 CEST on Sunday. We also plan to have a prize pool, but that depends on the amount of people signed up and on getting a sponsor for the event. You cancontribute to the prizepool and our operational costs by donating to us at donate.poland.tf.

As mentioned in a previous post, we have 10 team slots available and sign-ups will be open until 31.05.2025 23:59 CEST. After sign-ups a qualification stage might be needed, depending on the amount of singups. Qualified teams will be able to purchase tickets after the qualification stage. Additionally, we also have 70 tickets available for spectating and each ticket will come with a voucher a non-alcoholic beverage provided by the venue.

We won’t lie by saying that this tournament isn’t an experimental thing, because Highlander simply isn’t as popular as 6v6. But we believe we can make it a big success if the community shows up. If it becomes successful, we are willing to make it happen again and perhaps keep it as a series, like we do with 6v6 tournaments.

The tournament will be casted on EssentialsTF. Thanks to them, we will able to have onsite production and share the great games with the people at home. Thanks to them for the continued effort supporting poLANd.tf. We plan to cover as much matches as possible, potentially having a B-stream, but this will be clarified at a later stage.

After sign-ups close, we will consult players in regards to the map pool and whitelist they prefer for the tournament. Including player feedback is important to us as they are the ones playing in the tournament and makes sure everyone involved has a good time.
