With Premiership signups closed & reviewed, we are happy to announce our Premiership Qualifier teams! as well as the teams who have already secured their place in Premiership for this season! Below you can find all the info on Premiership Qualifiers and the results from the Feedback Poll we asked you to fill out!

Premiership

Based on last season’s performances, the following teams have secured their places in Premiership for this season:

• Super Dickmann's KANNONEN!
• 4House

Additionally, based on their roster strength and the results submitted to the admin team, we have decided to bring the following teams into Premiership without them having to go through the qualifiers:

• TWICE
• C̶I̴L̴L̵A̴ ̸B̵L̷A̵C̶K̷ ̷W̷A̴R̶R̶I̷O̸R̶S̶

Which leaves us with the following 4 teams to battle it out for the remaining 2 spots in Premiership:

• CHLEN9
• Highpanzer©
• Globo Gym
• Feila eSports finanzieren durch

Premiership Qualifiers

This leaves us with the last 2 spots being decided in the Premiership Qualifiers between 4 teams in a Double Elimination format. The first matches will be:

• Match 1: CHLEN9 vs Highpanzer©
• Match 2: Globo Gym vs Feila eSports finanzieren durch

The winners will go on to play against each other in the Upper Bracket final, with the winner of that game claiming a Premiership spot for themselves. The losers will play each other in the Lower Bracket. The winner of that game will then play the loser of the Upper Bracket Final for the last Premiership spot.

Pick/Ban Format & Map Pool

Teams will follow the pick & ban process outlined below, using only the following subset of maps:

Pick & ban process:

• Team A bans a map
• Team B bans a map
• Team B picks a map
• Team A picks a map
• The remaining map will be the decider

Feedback Poll Results

Before the start of the season, we asked you to fill out our Feedback Poll Sheet to help us decide what we should change/keep in regards of the Whitelist, Maps & Plugins etc. Here we will show you the final results and what decisions we will be making in regards to changes for this season.

Maps

For this season, we will be running koth_warmtic_f10 & koth_proot_b5b due to majority vote on each poll in Division 1 and below. With a 21 vote difference between warmtic & cascade respectively.

After a meeting with the Premiership Highlander teams, they have decided to play 2 different maps for this season: koth_lakeside_r2 instead of Warmtic & koth_ashville_final1 instead of Proplant. We will be trialling these two maps ONLY in the Premiership division for this season and depending on feedback from Premiership, we may consider polling/running them for all the other Divisions for future seasons.

Whitelist

We will be keeping a Global whitelist across all divisions for this season. We will also be making one change in regards to the whitelist, and that change is that the Loch n Load is now Banned. However, the Battalions Backup, Frontier Justice & Wrap Assassin will remain unbanned.

The Poll results on the Loch n Load were extremely close with a 3 vote difference between Yes and No. After the discussion with Premiership Highlander teams and analysing the reasonings for banning and not banning these weapons, we have opted to Ban the Loch n Load for this season and see how it goes. With an overwhelming majority of No’s for the Battalions Backup, Frontier Justice and Wrap Assassin, we will be keeping these weapons Unbanned.

Plugins

After testing this plugin for 6v6 and receiving positive feedback about the change, we decided to poll whether or not we should test the removal of this plugin in Highlander also. With a lot of votes on “No Opinion” as well as “Yes” and “No” Being split between 5 votes, we have decided to disable the plugin for this season to test how it goes in Highlander.

Summary

Moving forward, we have found that it’s much more efficient & better to gather feedback on changes during a full season instead of running small pre-season cups that don’t give very reliable feedback for us. At the start and end of each season, we will poll all changes/potential changes and see how positively/negatively they impact Highlander & 6v6 respectively. We hope that doing things this way will be a change for the better and further help improve how we run our competitions & community feedback. We wish to thank everyone who has recently filled out both our 6v6 & Highlander forms and we look forward to receiving further feedback for this upcoming season and future seasons!
