Ascent.EU vs. SVIFT
Ascent.EU and SVIFT are meeting each other yet again for the first time since the S28 Grand Finals. The two names have historically been dominant forces in the European scene and, in the past few seasons, both teams could be seen as top-contenders for Premiership 1st place.
However, despite the names, the rosters of both teams have drastically changed and the long-time rivalry between the two has vanished accordingly. As the freshly made new SVIFT started its season very convincingly, beating Velocity eSports EU 6-0, Ascent.EU has struggled to show an equally strong performance against The Bus Crew, ending up conceding a map. But, Ascent.EU’s chances here are not non-existent, the match could be marked by an upset on Granary, with Ascent.EU’s soldiers reiterating their strong showing of last week and with SVIFT slightly struggling on the map.

Velocity eSports EU vs. TTD
After a rough season start for both TTD and Velocity eSports EU, both having to face some of the favorites of the season, week 2 could prove to be the decisive opportunity for one of the teams to make an early come-back and show their potential.
Following a first week where TTD was unfortunately put against 7 times ETF2L Premiership winner Se7en, the team will be looking forward to this next possibly much easier match. Expected to have learnt from some of their mistakes, TTD will surely be going into the game with more experience. As TTD is probably looking to convert this future game into a win, so is Velocity eSports EU. The freshly put together team will be prone not to let TTD take it home. Even though Velocity eSports EU lost 5-0 on Process to SVIFT, Velocity eventually managed to slowly crawl back into the game during the second map, bringing the score to a final 3-1 for SVIFT.
With both teams being relatively newer to Premiership, having some neophyte players on each roster, week 2 might be the chance for either TTD or Velocity eSports EU to ascertain itself as a potential playoffs team. Thus, we can expect to witness an intense match on this Thursday.
