Highlander Nations Cup #2 – Whitelist Update
The Highlander whitelist has been updated, you can find the updated version here. The whitelist should be used for the remainder of the Highlander Nations Cup #2. The changes are as follows:
- Darwin’s Danger Shield has now been blacklisted, since it was banned during the Nations Cup.
- The Bazaar Bargain is now unbanned. The bug regarding this weapon has been fixed.
- The Beggar’s Bazooka is now unbanned.
- Ol’ Snaggletooth and Familiar Fez are no longer blacklisted.
Highlander Nations Cup #2 – Roster Rule Update
Previously Rosters were locked during the Playoff stages, and teams could not add any new players. This has changed, and teams can now add players whenever they wish throughout the tournament. However please remember the maximum roster size of 20 still applies.
Staff Changes
Lyrete has proven to be a hard working and devoted newswriter, and we are happy to welcome him as a full member of the Staff.
Bans
The following player will be banned from both current Nations Cups, and also any Nations Cups in 2014.

What happened concerning the bans?
False claims, forged “proof” for the false claims.

Abra is allowed to play in future nation cups, cause the proof we had for him being involved in the fraud attempt is not conclusive. Sorry about that.
How come the Beggar’s Bazooka is unbanned?
Re Beggar’s Bazooka: It got patched recently, you can not do these ridiculous bombs anymore.

I don’t think the darwin shield has to be banned. As I under stood its banned because you coyld survive a quick hs with it. But just slightly charging the shot would kill the Sniper. And before the patch every Sniper using it were getting overheal buff anyway.
The patch is more a nerf than a buff imo.

WHY IS THE WRANGLER NOT ON THE BAN LIST??
In all fairness. Equipping the Darwin would make you stronger against Sniper. But it would completely open you up towards Spies, which a surprising amount of Sniper uses the Razorback for. Also, taking more damage from explosives than you negate from bullets.
For the sake of argument; I’d like to see which assassin top-team Snipers would go for negating. Spies with the Razorback (as is the current trend, also reason Darwin is frowned upon (a second “counter” they have to choose between?)) or enemy Snipers with the Darwin.
Not saying the Darwin doesn’t seem a bit too good as it is, but has it actually been tried out?
Would a change from Bullet-Resistance towards Crit-resistance help the situation? I can see the issue not being able to full-charge body-shot being present. But instead of just saying “No. This item sucks and should stay banned.” isn’t it more.. Usefull to see if there are alternative fixes to it?

I’m always using jarate and rarely razorback (if spy killing only me) but why item that has same bonuses like banned set in last season should be unbanned, now its just more “op” (can’t find more appropriately werb) because you can hit headshots not only bodyshots.
More dmg from explosions? This is stupid and unnecessary, on a whole match you will get maybe 10 rockets/stickis on face if soldier IS NOT focusing only you.
Razorback for spies? Wat, this “weapon” is shit, headshot + bodyshot from ambassador and razorback won’t help you. If you have good reflex it only giving you a small chance to kill a spy when he have a bad revolver aim or just miss.
Darwins shield should be banned, like sniper set.
