Highlander Nations Cup #2: Unlock Rule Updates

After last night’s huge updates, it became apparent that the unlock rules needed re-considering.

• Effective today, the Darwin Danger Shield is now banned. After yesterday’s changes to the weapon, the wearer with full health can survive a quickscope headshot or a fully charged bodyshot. We believe this will have a significant impact on the game, and as such, this unlock has been banned from the Nations Cup until further notice

The whitelists won’t be updated right away, but this rule is effective immediately. We’ll let you know when we fix the whitelist. Other unlock updates will be announced at a later date.

Starting off the playoffs for season we have a match between Team Infused and Revoluzion la metagame. The winner walks away with a guarantee of getting at least some prizemoney and a chance of winning the 6 Club 3D Radeon HD 7850 royalKing graphics cards. The loser gets nothing. The stakes are high for this one.

Team Infused recently decided to pick up kaidus on demoman. Their opposition has given permission to use him as a merc so he will be playing in place of Brego. This addition should be making the team stronger if they have adapted to the change in playstyles fast enough. However, even on a rusty day, Team Infused are huge favourites to win this game.

Revoluzion la metagame battled it out all the way through the Tiebreaker last week and is now facing their biggest challenge by far. Any progress ilike2spin‘s boys make from now on can be considered a major surprise. They have the players but do they have the teamwork?

Highlander Nations Cup #2 – Group G: Turkey vs Ukraine

The first Highlander game being casted tonight is the one between Turkiye and Ukraine. Both teams have relatively unknown rosters with Ukraine having a slight upper hand with some high-level Highlander players in Abra, UNBRKBL and Jorman. Can their superior knowledge boost them to a good start to this cup?

Highlander Nations Cup #2 – Group B: Portugal vs USA

The other game casted tonight comes from Group B where Portugal faces off against United States of America. United States of America boasts a very strong roster containing a lot of top-level players, but can they stave off the ping disadvantage? However, Portugal also has a rather formidable line-up and should not be counted out as they could very well and even clinch a win here.
