TC Cup #1 Finals and Highlander Premiership: colony vs SNSD, colony vs Legolas’ Wrath and 27 vs SNSD

Premier Division: colony vs SNSD

Tonight the Scandinavian Highlander stars  colony (now with a bit of added Dutch and French flavour) will take on last season’s champions  SNSD. This match-up was played last season on exactly the same map, so  colony will hope to make amends for last season’s 2-0 loss. On the other side of the field,  SNSD will be sure to bring their A-game tonight to be a step closer to getting their 4th Season title in a row.

 SNSD have not yet played a match this season (due to certain circumstances), so it remains to be seen if they are as strong as they were last season. Judging by their PCW results they are as good as ever, but when it comes to officials, anything can happen.

Contrary to their opponents,  colony have already played one match, where they ended up losing to  Parrot Gapers 2-1 on Badwater after an exciting Golden Cap round. If they can carry their form from the first round of that match over to today, they will certainly have a chance to make  SNSD shake on its pedestal.

Premier Division: colony vs Legolas’ Wrath

One and a half hour later,  colony will head on over to Gravelpit to face  Legolas’ Wrath. Just like the match before, this is an exact rematch from last season, where  Legolas’ Wrath edged ahead on the same map with the score of 0-2.

The European outfit can certainly boast of being multinational, consisting of players from a total 10 countries. Maybe all these different cultural views will be what will allow them to take that needed edge over their opponents. They have yet to be tested this season, but judging on the performance they showed last season against today’s opponents, they should have no problems toppling them again.

 colony have the unfortunate task ahead of playing what will most likely be the easier match after the harder one. This might have an effect on their morale when heading to the second game of the day. Given that, they are Premiership players and them, if anyone, should be able to take the pressure without getting a hit on their morale. But will that indeed be the case, we will have to wait and see.

Premier Division: 27 vs SNSD

To cap today’s Highlander bombardment off, we shall enjoy SNSD‘s second game today, where they face the Spanish all-stars in the form of 27.

27 will surely want to make up for losing to  Parrot Gapers in their first game of the season on Gravelpit. Today though the 2nd placed team back in season 2 in Division 1 will face the only team that managed to beat them that season. Today they have a lot of motivation to show they can still challenge for the top spots even if they did falter a little in the first week.

SNSD will have played a match already 2 hours before this match-up and could based on this be thought to be the better warmed-up team coming into the match. From this match they will look to get the strong base to an unassailable leadership of this season’s Premiership. If they manage to pick all 12 points that are up for grabs for them today they will already have a 4-point gap to second placed  Parrot Gapers who will be facing them next week.

Team Colonslash Cup #1:cp_quay finals

Today the Team Colonslash Cup #1 is finally brought to an end. Both teams,  Bring the funk and  The Manissons, have passed all trials thrown at them so far and will encounter each other in an epic battle for keys and signed war trophies.
