    Dear teams,

    It has been brought to our attention that team “Heroes and zeros” requested a pause during the second round of this match which was denied by “Valhalla” due to a pause already done during the first round.

    As there was only a single map played for this match-up, the individual rounds are looked as their own “maps” due to all rounds possibly granting points for either team, and for both teams having to individually ready up again as each round ends.

    As the pause during second round of this match had major impact it will result in one of the two rounds won by “Valhalla” to be defaulted in favour of their enemies.

    3.9 Teams may request a pause if problems occur

    Teams may request a pause at any time during a match. Reasons for pausing can include:

    – Player drop
    – Server problems
    – The match is unplayable due to network issues

    If you need to pause, you must clearly request a pause and give a reason for it (for example: “Pause please, player drop”). The other team is then required to pause at the first appropriate time (e.g. not in the middle of a push). Teams must pause within 15 seconds of being asked. Not responding to a pause request will lead to penalties like a minor warning accompanied with the forfeit of the round in question, or, in extreme cases, a major warning and forfeit of the map.

    You may not resume the game under any circumstances without giving proper warning to the other team.

    Each team has the right to one pause per map.

    A pause may not last longer than 5 minutes.

    If your opponent allows a pause longer than 5 minutes or more than one pause you are expected to extend the same courtesy to them.

    Dodef it is really unfortunate that you were unable to find an appropriate time to pause in the 4 minutes and 2 points you took before our demoman rejoined. Almost as if your team denied a pause due to a 30 second pause that happened on the first map during SETUP TIME. Fucking hell.

    But feel free to whine about being mistreated and put up rec posts about losing to default hunters.

    I thought there was a rule that stated the maximum amount of pauses per game.
