My ping has not been stable for a while and even my internet drops from time to time and I’d like that to stop happening and have stable internet here’s some info:
-Internet cable is good and im from my pc directly into the modem (20m cable)
-First tried some stuff on the PC then decided to reinstall, directly after reinstall I still lagged
-Some people would concider it being the ISP but I’ve only got this ISP since 3 weeks before that the same problems already were happening and I moved house 3 months ago but I had the same problems before that but it was not as big a problem
-checked my heat from my hardware (seems too high but speedfan acting weird imo)
-I don’t share my internet
-My gaming config isn’t the problem those settings are all fine
If anyone has any more questions please ask them below
help! sadface
Edit: here are some pictures of my temps from speedfan:

so moving ur computer makes it worse? how exactly does that happen?
also, lol cpu at 91C and cores almost 80c, thats defo getting throttled man, clean ur pc or get decent cooler
also would be cool if ud tell what os and if u tried w7 ping fix?
I dont really think its the moving the computer part as it wasnt this bad at the first 1/2 months after me moving house.
im going to try and clean my pc tomorrow but not sure if that’ll help much.
Im using Windows XP and I did not try w7 ping fix.
can you install an other software to measure temperature plz
i cant believe that your pc is still working with a CPU @ 154°C

core temp is 47c, u blind?
My pc now has been off for 12 hours in that time I also cleaned all the dust and applied new thermal paste for my CPU which is now not overheating anymore but I’m still lagging.
(on the other hand mobo/aux still says its around 140 I think that sensor is just weird)
I’m running out of options here now its not heat.
It may have suffered damage from the heat?
There is no way that the CPU would work if it were at 140 degrees, I actually have no idea what the fuck that is measuring, this is why CPU-Z is better…
Anyway, with the lag issues? try backup up all of your config files and running the reset.bat chris made, it’s round here somewhere i’m sure you can do some digging to find it, and just apply basic options until the problem arises, unless it doesn’t arise, bear in mind this will reset EVERYTHING to default like your net settings and suchlike.
The other options are that it is actually an internet problem, which is entirely possible, check other games and run pingtester to check for jitter and suchlike, if no problems arise in other games then it’s most likley a config problem or some weird net setting you’re using, try using fullscreen non windowed if you’re not using it (just in case /shrug)
Your TF2 might be conflicting with your router somehow as well, I know Vode had some issues with his router crashing everything he F5’d the server browser, but new router models are fine with this, I had to use a telnet method on my router to do something with the ports to stop myself from getting the “steam validation error”.
Anyway, give some of these ideas a go and yeah…
Best of luck
Nah I think one of the sensors is odd and it’s not only with TF2 its with multiple games.

Please use something proper like coretemp or realtemp to measure temperature
Do you have inet or hardware problems?
Do you have the “lag” also in offline games? Test it, if you have the lags also in an offline game its an hardware problem, if not it’s your inet. Clear this first to isolate the problem.
here is my lagometer from this afternoon in QL: http://i.imgur.com/HdphV.png
here is my lagometer just now all seems fixed but I didnt change a thing:

Also its not FPS lag so I don’t experience anything in singleplayer games.
Sometimes you do get line issues like that and the ISP wont say a thing and just hope you don’t notice it, if it happens in all other games then chances are it was an ISP or line fault, just bask in your glorious working internet once more :P
