Amazing intro, really nice work, just hope the site design overhaul is done fast so we can have that neat logo with a fitting theme.
Was hoping for a bigger prize pool tho..

prize pool //_-

The prize pool is not as large as last season’s because this time it is a proper sponsorship and last season it was a donation.
The €10 are “missing” because you can not divide 1,000 by 6 and 990 allows us to have a somewhat decent distribution.

We still have a good relationship to with Tt eSPORTS and you will definitely hear from them on this site again soon. If for league sponsorship or cup sponsorship (or both?) – that is still open.

kaneco, why do you care about the prizepool its not like you have the chance to win it, and if you only play this game for money you are doing something wrong.

The saddest part is – Valve is not supporting TF2 as they should. Knowing how much money they make from money who buy hats, keys, etc. they should be giving something to the community. And not like it’s a bad idea, they invest like, let’s say, 100K eu, that’s enough money to host at least a few seasons with a couple of years of LANs, streaming, etc. I feel like supporting their game like that would bring even more people into the game who are considering to play in the competitive scene or just in general – play the game. which will be worth it in the long run. There’s less people playing Dota2, compared to TF2 every day and yet we are not getting the proper attention from the game creators themselves.

rviens, I dont think you’ve checked the amount of people playing dota2; for the last few months dota has had more than triple TF2′s player count
January 6th, 2013 at 16:55
But rviens point of view seems right to me, even the amount is incorrect, but the case is as follows. The missing support in competitive over the last few years. Dota 2 is getting hyped as fuck. Beta and tournament prizes of 1 mil? Tf2 prizes? No support in big events like tournaments/cups and stuff means no big increase of player amount. As a player you recognize if you get suportet much or not!

@Chaplain lol, Valve are throwing money at Dota like there’s no tomorrow, if TF2 had that kind of support, or even 10% of it, it would grow exponentially too. 10% of 1 million like Dota 2 had is 100k, imagine that money injection in the tf2 scene.
And I’m pretty sure tf2 is the biggest source of revenue for Valve (apart from steam itself of course), investing some of that money back into the game wouldn’t hurt anyone
January 6th, 2013 at 19:03
yey, lets every tf2 player write a mail to valve gogogo
January 7th, 2013 at 16:44
Guys, I never played Dota 2 but I guess it’s really meant to be competitive. Counter-Strike is also quite competitive, but there’s also huge public play. Looking at TF2… it’s a public game…and by saying that I mean that the comp side of tf2 is a joke. I mean after years we are not even sure how to play it (maps/game modes, unlocks). We have players in premier div who don’t give a shit about winning except maybe 3 or 4 which happen to be in epsilon. I would not throw money at a game like tf2 :D
I hope the ETF2L admin team stays on the course on which they are right now and finally give the game a direction (it won’t go anywhere though). And sorry if I hurt someone’s feelings here.

rofl prices rofl

10€ mores and you could have had visually more attractive prizes like
500
300
200
or make it only 900 (invest 90€ to the next season) and you have
500
300
100
or
300
300
300
this is not about the money huh! :D

“We have players in premier div who don’t give a shit about winning except maybe 3 or 4 which happen to be in epsilon.”
That’s a result, not a cause.
Rest is accurate.
