Recruitment

Scout  Div 2 Skill, 6v6

Scotland Nostalgia

Posted: | Last Online:

I'd first of all like to say that I know I'm not currently a div 1/2 scout, but I most definitely have the potential to be.
I'm looking for a div 1 or strong div 2 team that are willing to pick me up as their second scout and whip me into shape into becoming a scout of this calibre. I've recently been to LAN with ZUMBA!/Twistedplay.mix, I've learned a lot about my play and what I need to do to improve but I still feel I need some nurturing from a strong, capable team.

Pros:

Aim/DM ability on par with scouts at this level.
I am willing to put the time in to learn.
Nice guy with a positive attitude to the game

Cons:
Lack of experience, meaning my gamesense isn't as high as it needs to be at this level – that's why I need you!
Will need time to develop.
Have a bit of a wayward ego and need time to get rid of that.

What I want from you:

A strong caller/leader(a must)
A team that isn't scared to pull me up for my mistakes.

After coming back from LAN, I've realised I fucking love TF2 and have the dedication to improve and I believe the only way I can do this is by playing in a good team. If I'm playing in a team that isn't really at this level, I believe I'm just going to continue letting my aim/dm carry me and not really develop into the player I could be.

Also, I won't have internet for a couple weeks after Thursday as I'm moving house. Still wanting to post this now to get some interest built up as people still have the “LANbuzz” as I like to call it and Season 10 is just round the corner and I'll have internet by then.

Played a single game against Nostalgia at i43 and spent a lot of time listening to his TF2 theory-crafting.

Impossible to tell how good he is at the game after just one game, but no part of me thought he was bad. In fact, their team very nearly knocked us out of the group stages on Turbine. That’s four “prem level” Finns (I lol’d) and two experienced medics…

He clearly has a desire to learn and improve, and if he can keep his self-admitted ego out of the way, he could be a real asset to your team.

    GL you ugly, ugly man.

Doesn’t sound that scottish, was disappointed.

    He’s also a div2 scout.

Keen as fuck! Will do anything to improve. At the moment has pretty good aim, slightly lacking gamesense but can change quickly with a good team or mentor. Good luck!

has decent dm as scout. doesn’t struggle on that side of it.

with a mentor could progress fast. but will need to be really focused on improving game sense and not relying at all on frags.

really nice guy and super keen :D

I spent quite a lot of time talking to young Nostalgia at i43, although it’s clear his attitude needs some work it was refreshing to see that he’s very much aware of where he needs to change and is determined to do so.

Like many players he has lacked the experience of playing under a proper team leader who was capable of showing him the ropes and providing proper guidance – if you think you’re a strong leader and can swallow down a couple of strops while he goes through his right of passage I think there’s more than a good chance you could end up with an aspiring D1+ scout pretty quickly.

    Good luck young man!

Nice guy and excellent scout, stole Ash’s tent for LAN but apparently didn’t touch him up. Surprising honestly.

He did epic work for cadred and the community throughout LAN even whilst he was playing in a team. Definetely a decent pickup!

Nice guy, but wasn’t standing out skill-wise vs div5 standard opposition trialling a few weeks ago so div1 might be a bit of a stretch. I could certainly imagine d3 though in a good team :)
