Flares, typically associated with the Pyro’s secondary slot, lack the precision, range, and burst damage necessary for this task. Using flares forces the Sniper into an unconventional and less effective playstyle, potentially leaving the team without the essential picks needed to dismantle the opposing team’s strategy. Additionally, flares are better utilized by Pyros, whose kit is designed to synergize with them for harassment and area denial, making them a poor choice for the Sniper role. To maintain optimal team performance, sticking to the Sniper’s traditional loadout is crucial in competitive play.
