ETF2L is looking for new Staff to recruit! Are you interested in supporting the league? Then click here for more details on what we can offer and how to apply!
Okay :(. I just can’t get into any team. Can you give me an advice where to start? I wanted to join a comp team for many years but I never had the courage to do it.
Balu, I would advise you to bridge the gap between Casual & Non-Valve Competitive by playing a couple dozen lobbies on TF2Center.
It ain’t going to be pretty because balance in there is hard to come by and competitive players of all skill levels frequent it. It is however, one of the few options you have. It will introduce you to the 9v9 format, familiarize you with certain metas and teach you some key differences that exist between 12v12 Casual and 9v9 Highlander.
After that you could make a recruitment post looking for an ‘Open’ team on ETF2L or ‘Steel’ on UGC Highlander. Or maybe you’ll meet some people while playing lobbies who could offer you a spot on their team.
Another option would be to get a mentor: a person who will guide/coach your learning process.
Will do amazing now that they dont have a shitty demo whos throwing for half the matches with them.Would reccomend to anyone looking to win/top 3 in mid, great players and all of them good in skill and a person
