Sniper  Div 6 Skill, Highlander

I've been playing 6s for a little over a month now and while it's great fun, I want to be able to play sniper more. I've put close to 1000 hours into sniper now so I feel I'm pretty good at it. I've very little highlander experience but I'm not a douchebag and would love to learn, after all, everyone was new at some point.
