thats a lot of experience you got there =D
If your team has a fetish for sitting up late and discussing tactics, breaking them down in detail, giving them names like “Valley-push 2 EXECUTE!” and practising reality just as much as theory, and YET havent found a medic, Chet is your man.
Chet is one of the few guys that can AND likes to analyze whats happening around him. If your push/positioning/defence doesnt have a name, he WILL name it. Not rarely you see him telling the heavies about his plan mid-game, may it be the rollout or pushing last, which he professionaly shortens to ~10 words.
Playing RTS and other classes than medic has given Chet the mind to play with numbers. Chet doesnt need any fpsconfig, custom hud or crosshairs. The entire game looks like a matrix for him. If you’ll land a 100 damage rocket onto their demo, you’ll mostly hear Chet going “260 health minus 100, we have a 48,6% out of 2/3 men health advantage, lets push”. He does the maths, not just for showoff, but to actually strenghten his arguments.
I cannot only say good thing about Chet. If youre having a bad day, as a player or as a team, he will sound like the world is about to end and from my exp its really annoying. Also tends to drop ubers more often than Id like to see but it cant be helped ┐( ̄ー ̄)┌
Chets movement and dodging might not be the best. I have to say that he knows where to be and why, sadly I have mostly seen him running in straight directions, making it an easy hit for whoever that tries to hit him. Hes been improving this point lately however
However, the pros outweights the cons, and nice as I am, Im putting up a list for YOU, yes you Chet.
+Surival
+Good with kritz
+Thinking
+Planning
+Word usage
+Handsome irl
+Best 2v2 magicka and coh partner
-dodging
-let go off the numbers Chet, sometimes you have to play by feeling.
However, you wont regret trialing him, nor will you regret pouring lava together on other peoples houses in minecraft. And I love that just as much as dual-casting spells in magicka and blitzkrieg in coh.
No seriously, dont take him, I want him for myself. Damn you Chet.
Get a job Vanilla.
I like Shep he is calm, and heals me when I need heals.
where is chef???
Chef is off on some island, peeling potatoes or possibly playing bf3!
Shep is a great medic, always enjoyed playing with him and I’m confused as hell why he still have not managed to land himself a decent team. For an analysis read vanilla’s try hard post.
Really good with numbers and the technical side of TF2 and medic, will make sure everyone is buffed quickly and efficiently.
Pros
– Mechanical way of thinking knows when everyone on their team and your team will spawn.
– Calls who is around him and if he’s dead will tell you what team mates you have around you.
– Really nice guy out of game.
– No rage or moaning.
– A defencive medic that will know that he should get out 2 rounds before it has happened.
Cons
– Really does pick up a lot of spam, so dodging.
– No real creativity or flare, as Vanilla said seems to think to much.
– Struggles under pressure.
However, I would recommended because no doubt he will be welcome to any criticism and improve on it.
I don’t believe I take that much more spam than your average medic, altho that is an area I would like to improve on further.
I’d like to address the comment about struggling under pressure by saying I don’t recall collapsing under it nor struggling more than anyone else on my team. I never panicked, anyway.
It’s not like his dodging is terrible or something, he still survives very well. Good med.
Looks like byte.
haven’t seen much, but i wouldn’t say div1.
But you’re looking for div1, right? Can’t compare yourself to an average medic, even to prove a point.
In any case, I have to give Shep my highest possible endorsement. Of all the medics I’ve played with I came to like him the most over time. He doesn’t dick around, always chill, enjoys the game and has that perfect balance between fun and desire to win, which is what I love. I sometimes even abandon cheap middle cap points, just so I can push with him. And nothing says “I love you” more than that.
Would pocket him anytime <3
aka Daystar?
he would still be better than daystar if he played blindfolded like hes trying to use the force and with baby piranhas on the end of each finger
better than vanilla
better at onlinegamer than vanilla probably
Great guy, and I completely agree with what WAR and Vanilla said. His overthinking seems to limit his raw medicing abilities.
In my opinion, healing, movement, dodging comes first, the technicalities come second. I can name a lot of stuff that Shep can improve on, which might sound too negative. Considering how serious he takes the medicing job, it should be no problem for him to work on these things. Also all my experience with Shep is from doublemixes which is not always the best measure.
With the new single div1, I’d say he’s div3/2. Play a consistent season at that level and the abovementioned things should improve automatically.
He inspired me to play comp :D
dont cry about it marty jesus and donder op neger skeej……… also shep has a forhead bigger than my 42 inch t.v x
awesome guy pick him up
gl!
@vanilla’s post: wow..
It’s a c/p from a year ago :D he’s too lazy to write smth new
shep is a boss
@Shep its still true, you havent changed
A nice guy from what I’ve mixed with him :P
Me gustas :O
Has never played higher in a team above div5, and even that team did awful in div5. It is beyond laughable to suggest that you are actually capable of playing at a div1 level.
OFFICIAL SKILL POLICE RATING: div4/5
Absolutely, yeah.
OFF TOPIC: HELLO AND WELCOME TO ETF2L SIR SKILL POLICE, IT IS VERY GOOD AND INSIGHTFUL TO HAVE YOU IN HERE. IF I MADE A RECRUITMENT POST, HOW WOULD YOU RATE ME?!?!?
On-topic: Seems like a reasonable fellow, though has no real experience from higher division games than trials/mixes in my eyes. If the posts above are true, I really suggest you to just focus on raw medicing abilities rather than numbers. When you have your reflexes/dodging to the max and you can do every fucking thing what a medic has to do while maincalling and rolling the numbers, then just do it by the feel.
dat’s how I roll, and I suggest it for you too.
For every impossible dodge Taimou does there is a situation where he just runs in with his ubersaw out and hopes for the best :D
Shep you should learn from both the skill police and taimou. No troll.
hes cool but spends too much time doing math and not enough tf2ing =p
Do you seriously do all that math shit? Because if so that’s just amazingly retarded.
he does but whats wrong with it in itself?
I don’t do anything excessively or what doesn’t come natural, as you might’ve gotten the impression by Vanilla’s exaggeration of some things.
I.e. from the spec panel when I’m dead I report where ppl are and how much health there is between them if they’re fighting mid and let them make their choices, report how much ppl are on each side, uber status and that’s about it.
Besides, you played with me on some less formal occasions, Retshock, and it’s not different from those times.
Also, thank you Taimou for your advice.
Why doesn’t this fella have a team yet?? Shep is the coolest Croat out there.
What Gozo said.
bumping for this lovely person.
such an awesome guy and medic and its always cool to play with him.
he really deserves a top divison 2 team AT LEAST.
gl bro
more gamesense than vanilla
