Highlander Cup

Cause of the big feedback on our Competition Request Forum we are happy to announce our first Highlander Cup. This Cup will be perfect for everybody who thinks some classes should be played more often, due to the 9on9 and Classlimit 1 Gamemode. Feel invited to note all dates down already, also it’s possible to register Highlander teams on the page by now!

4^th Cup

Also our regular Cup series is going into its next chapter: the 4^th Cup will have place for 128 teams again which will fight for the European Team Fortress 2 Cup Throne. Arena Cup #1

After the success of our Watchtower-Arena-1-Day-Cup, we are happy to announce our Arena Cup #1 Sign-Ups will open tonight!

The cup will take place in the coming weeks (see below for Dates) on all known Arena maps and will be played with our Community rules 4on4, CL1, No Medics + Engineers. One last public poll will also decide which Winmode will be used in the upcoming Arena Cups. Take your right to vote below!

Besides we always want to remind all teams who played our Watchtower Cup to give their vote about the map on our Forum Poll [Link]. This poll will decide if the map gets added to the Map Pool or not.

New Pause Rule

After some internal discussion we agreed on adding the following Pause Rule:

1.6.15 Pause if players drop

If 1 player of a team drops from the server, the game may be paused at the end of the current round (or when both team’s intelligence is in their base on CTF maps) to allow the player to return. If 2 or more players drop, pausing instantly is allowed.

Pausing will be a maximum of 5 minutes, unless both teams agree to wait longer.

Note: This rule does not count for disconnects caused by players themselves.

Watchtower-Arena-1-Day-Cup TODAY

Today a new type of Team Fortress 2 competition will start with the very first Arena-1-Day-Cup on the probably most promising looking map arena_watchtower_b3. Any kind of players are invited to join our 1-Day-Cup and help testing out this custom arena map. Also every participating team will have one vote if we should add this map to our big upcoming Arena Cup.

We recommend at least one team representative to idle in our QuakeNet IRC channel #etf2l for a smoother progress.

Nations’ Cup Semi Finals

Finally the last Quarter Final United Kingdom vs. France was played on Sunday. UK managed to win this close match after two maps (ctf_turbine 3:2, cp_pro_granary 3:1). All Semi Finals are now ready to get played, good luck to all remaining four teams reaching the big final which will be played “Best of 5”.

Season 3 – Week 5 – Default Dates

Like every week some teams didn’t schedule their matches in time due to different reasons. We will give you another day for fixing the date on your own, if no date is entered by tonight 23:59 CEST the mentioned Default Date will be entered. Some teams really should think about more engagement on scheduling their regular week matches. That’s the only way the Season will work properly till the end.

The 3rd Cup is over! But don’t feel sad because you missed the final – you didn’t. Finalist Dead Cows Strike Back had to forfeit the Final after the team folded a while ago. Due to this their opponent Team CoolerMaster (formerly known as Weapons of the Rebelion) are winning the Cup Title from 4 Kings by default and are our new Cup Title Holders! Congratulations!
