ETF2L is looking for new Staff to recruit! Are you interested in supporting the league? Then click here for more details on what we can offer and how to apply!
We have added a new command to our IRC bot which can be used to contact our anti cheat section. Please use this from now on by querying one of the bots (ETF2L/ETF2L2/ETF2L3) and typing “!acrequest”.
Please be patient. If nobody contacts you right away try again after some hours.
New Banning Policy
We have a total of 127 VAC Banned accounts registered to ETF2L. If you have a vac banned account and don’t contact the ac section in the next two weeks, the ban will be applied in the league.
To prove to an Anti-Cheat admin that you can play on a secure TF2 server, and therefore in ETF2L, contact an AC admin by the new “!acrequest” command.
Back for more
Some people just don’t learn. We are sad to announce further punishment to the following players for attempting to evade their current ETF2L bans by registering new accounts. Please do not try and do this – you will be caught.
Ladders have been the subject of several lengthy discussions on the forums since the ETF2L opened. We have recently finished putting together an initial version of a Ladder system for ETF2L. Its incorporated into the site in exactly the same way as the cups and leagues meaning that scheduling your games and submitting results should be as easy as any other competition.
We are currently looking for teams willing to play in such a system while the point system is tweaked. Signups are currently open and any 6on6 team with at least 6 registered players may join. Teams can be challenged on the Ladder page (by clicking the email link) or from the “Challenge” page at the dashboard. The map pool consists of all current Season 6 maps and teams can choose 1-3 maps to play on. Teams can be challenged at any time (the same team cannot be challenged twice in under 5 days however).
The current points system is based on the ELO rating system, with modification for the points difference in a result. Points are also lost for inactivity, this is currently 2pts/day after 5 days inactivity, however this may change. Please be aware that during the initial ladder test phase points and positions may change without warning. However all data is saved so no games that you play towards the ladder will be lost. Full details of the current system can be seen here
Feedback
This system is likely to be updated but we’d be interested in any comments from teams playing in the ladder. If you want to comment on the ladder itself or the regarding functions and rules, feel invited to post a reply in our feedback thread.
After a few days delay, the 1st Round of the Playoff Phase was finished. Besides Israel beating Portugal, all other group winners managed to reach the Quarter Finals. From now on, there will only be thrilling matches on the highest competitive level. Be sure not to miss them!

After a long and successful term as head admin, DeNeusbeer has decided to stop his work as head admin for ETF2L. Looking towards ETF2L’s future, we needed a new head admin to work alongside dAyKiLLeR, and we therefore congratulate Kop on his promotion.
He has been one of our most hard working admins since January this year, and considering his leadership and organisational abilities, both with ETF2L and his long-standing tenure as leader of Cable Internet Clan, we are certain that he will make the most of his new head admin role.
We also asked D2M and m0reif they would consider re-joining the team, and we are very pleased to announce that they both agreed.
Last but not least, JimmyBreeze, perhaps best known for his many in-depth articles on Resupply, also joins the ranks.
