1.4 No mercs allowed unless your opponent agrees

“Mercs” or “ringers” are players that are not on the roster of your team. Teams may not use a merc at any time of a match unless their opponent has agreed to it. If a team does not have enough players for a scheduled match and want to use a merc, they must contact the opponent in time. If the opponent agrees, make sure a log of the agreement is taken and provided in the match comments. All mercs have to be registered on ETF2L. Teams caught using an unregistered merc, or a merc without their opponent’s permission, will receive a default loss and a warning.

A team can use up to a maximum of 2 mercs, even if the opponent would allow the use of more than 2 mercs. This includes players who are still shown as unverified on the team’s roster.

Since the unapproved merc ( Pr3datoR , http://etf2l.org/forum/user/105130/ ) was used in map 1 (gullywash) we will default that map in favor of team “Absolutely Free”.

Next time please make sure that your desired merc is explicitly approved before using him/her.

First of all, nice hypocrisy from Shawns ” Shawns: .aF! said: Fri 16 Jan 2015, 19:54 Bunch of shitty default hunting cunts.” (http://puu.sh/g4a3r/12a5ef7f2d.png). Second of all, they did not approve or disapprove so how are we to know what to do next if the rules do not prompt us and as we are missing a player we are left with no choice.

You don’t know the details on the match shawns commented on, that matter is something completely else. If you want the details on it you’re more than welcome to add me and i’ll explain it.
You need to have proper proof of opponents agreeing on the merc. Otherwise it would be too easy to sneak merc’s in or ect.
Apart from that i never got sent a etf2l link of a user or anything alike. https://i.imgur.com/ZZs7TYi.png here is a schreenshot that your team leader made. He just said “can we have a merc” which i missed out on because he wanted us on the server fast so i was contacting my other team members.

Please dont take it too hard and the chance of us accepting him last minute is highly unlikely aswel. If you would look at the logs from the first match you would see exactly why.
