also, im sorry, i have two screenshots of both of vertigos wins, but i forgot to take screenshots of our loss on turbine and repeated losses on process.

Team Vertigo severely misbehaved on cp_process, costing us a lot of time and effort in contacting the ETF2L admins. I hope they get warned for their behaviour, as I think this kind of childishness is unheard of.

Well, several of Team Elevated’s players got a bit salty after losing turbine and decided to refuse use of a merc to replace our dropped pocket who could not play process due to internet issues. I asked for the reason, the reason was “spamming binds”. That’s not a legitimate reason to refuse use of a merc. I paused the game, went onto the quakenet and requested an admin, none showed up, so we continued playing. I think that Team Elevated just wanted an easy win against a team with next to no experience, which is childish, hypocritical, and to be honest, a bit sad.

  6. adam: EAA said:

And even then, I’m pretty sure that spamming binds would have impacted our play rather than yours xD.

    Warnings applied to Vertigo:

    1. Major warning for massive abuse of the pause function.

Please make sure to always ask for a pause, stating a reason for that pause; and let your opponents pause the game for you.

3.8 Teams may request a pause if problems occur

Teams may request a pause at any time during a match. Reasons for pausing can include:

    – Player drop

    – Server problems

    – The match is unplayable due to network issues

If you need to pause, you must clearly request a pause and give a reason for it (for example: “Pause please, player drop”). The other team is then required to pause at the first appropriate time (e.g. not in the middle of a push). Teams must pause within 15 seconds of being asked. Not responding to a pause request will lead to penalties like a minor warning accompanied with the forfeit of the round in question, or, in extreme cases, a major warning and forfeit of the map.

You may not resume the game under any circumstances without giving proper warning to the other team.

Each team has the right to one pause per map.

A pause may not last longer than 5 minutes.

If your opponent allows a pause longer than 5 minutes or more than one pause you are expected to extend the same courtesy to them.

    2. Minor warning for for constant spam during the game – please only use the ingame chat in a constructive manner. If you have nothing to say, stay silent.

2.5 Abusive chat, nicknames and avatars are not welcome

Try not to use the chat function during a match unless it is in a positive manner. Any offensive chat as well as spamming binds may lead to a warning for your team. Chat abuse and racist or offensive names/steam avatars will not be tolerated and may be punished with warnings or bans.

    3. Minor warning for fraud attempt:

There is no ruling that states you need a valid reason to deny a merc – mercs can be denied by the opposing team without stating any reason. Making up a rule to try to get your denied merc approved will not be tolerated.

1.5 No mercs allowed unless your opponent agrees

“Mercs” or “ringers” are players that are not on the roster of your team. Teams may not use a merc at any time of a match unless their opponent has agreed to it. If a team does not have enough players for a scheduled match and want to use a merc, they must contact the opponent in time. If the opponent agrees, make sure a log of the agreement is taken and provided in the match comments. All mercs have to be registered on ETF2L. Teams caught using an unregistered merc, or a merc without their opponent’s permission, will receive a default loss and a warning.

A team can use up to a maximum of 2 mercs, even if the opponent would allow the use of more than 2 mercs. This includes players who are still shown as unverified on the team’s roster.

Not everything you’ve said is accurate, but I’m not really that bothered about the minor warnings. We’ve taken aboard what you’ve said and you probably won’t be seeing any behavior of the like again, unless our opponents aren’t salty sore losers and have a similar sense of humor to us, in which case I don’t think either team will mind. Glad I am to say that the latter applies to the majority of teams I have encountered so far.

As for the “major warning”, this statement is false: “…even after talking to an admin about it and being warned of harsher consequences than a mere minor warning if the abuse continues.” We did not talk to an admin and we did not get warned of anything. I attempted to reach an admin over the Quakenet, one was there but he wasn’t responding, so I went back to TF2 and we continued playing.

I updated my post above to reflect your second paragraph, I mixed something up. Major still stands though.

  12. adam: EAA said:

Well I personally feel that the major warning is unjust, as we were not warned of the consequences, and when I tried to contact an admin he was afk, which really isn’t the slightest bit helpful. However, if you insist upon applying a major warning then so be it.

“We’ve taken aboard what you’ve said and you probably won’t be seeing any behavior of the like again, unless our opponents aren’t salty sore losers and have a similar sense of humor to us, in which case I don’t think either team will mind. Glad I am to say that the latter applies to the majority of teams I have encountered so far.” -I don’t really need to say any more.
