Yes, what we did was not allowed according to the rules. The same rules that can be bent everytime the admins feel like it. Don’t hide behind the “rules are rules” argument because we all know it’s bullshit.
We committed a victimless crime. The admins chose to make some victims, for bureaucracy’s sake. Or maybe for their own amusement, I don’t know.
We had to play this match even though Luzzu couldn’t show up. We chose to use a solly merc alongside another solly merc, because there were no other opportunities to play this game. If ANYONE that can probably be affected by this match results has a problem with wOllie or MightyMe being used instead of Luzzu, let us know. Otherwise the only reason admins are taking this decision is for themselves.
Sick work admins, keep those bastards in check.

That’s like the worst fraud attempt I’ve ever seen. Why couldn’t you just like have tight 4-3 matches or something like that if you wanted to fraud?
Unless the match was a protest against the 2 merc rule.
That wasnt a fraud, we really played it with the ambition to reinvent the metagame.

What is the rule, or way of thinking here? Because again, things are being dealth with by making rules up on the spot. I has to be something alongside “teams are not allowed to let eachother win?” Thats the closest I can think of. But that rule doesn’t exist, and also can’t exist, because not only can team default matches to eachother at will, they can also default single maps (epsilon – tcm).
Applying the term fraud here is really misleading and slandering. We, as teams, just let eachother win, no pretenses about that. We’re not trying to fraud anything. Teams do this all the time and it’s no problem. Now it’s suddenly a problem?
So now admins can tell teams how to play their games? “You have to at least try to win with X effort”? Or only for this occasion?
The major warning is even more nonsensical than the default loss. This whole thing proves that making or bending rules at admin’s discretion is everyday business for ETF2L. Couldn’t you simply have applied that admin’s discretion in the first place? We played a great game in our “real” match, to which nobody but admins had an objection. Should’ve left it like that.

I really like how skeej’s main argument seems to be: “Everybody and their moms are breaking the rules, why can’t we?” and how he honestly can’t see why fixing a match is bad. And samr shouting passive-aggressive semi-insults from safe distance…damn, I love the theatre.
