Because this match has not been scheduled by either of the teams, a default date has been set for this match.
The default date is: Sunday, 01 April 2012, 20:30
Please play this match on the appointed time and submit the results.
We have to wildcard this match. Sorry :(
Any news on this match MVP?
Proposed the match for the 10th April at 20:00 CEST.
Cancel that, proposed for 12 Aprial at 20:00 CEST as we can’t do this Sunday.
Next Sunday sorry
Hello.
Posting here for reference.
-MvP did not accept our initial date proposal so we were assigned a default date of Sunday 1st at 20:30CEST.
-Shortly before the matchtime, MvP Team Captain cAPS messaged us informing they were wildcarding and would not be attending. This was also posted by him on the match page (which you can see above)
-As a result, we screenshotted our attendance on the server (nine minutes after what would have been game on) and disconnected
-We then proposed (via the system) a new date of 4/4/12 at 20:00CEST because of their wildcarding
-MvP failed to reply or acknowledge this new date or communicate at all
-We attended the match on 4/4/12. MvP failed to show. We waited until 20:16, screenshotted and disconnected.
-Because MvP failed to enter their wildcard on the system, we cannot claim a default win for either of the times they have failed to turn up for the match
-As such we are forced to propose a new date and attempt the match again.
-Our new match proposal date is 12/4/12 at 20:00CEST
-Also, as MvP did not enter their wildcard on the system, it is still available for their use.

We accept playing on 12/4 at 20:00
Dear team MvP,
to properly use a wildcard you need to click the “Use wildcard” button on top of the match page and confirm. You are lucky that MAHOGANY did not claim a default win for your no-show on April 1.
I advise you to communicate more with your opponents, either via Steam or on the match page to prevent situations like the one that occured here where your opponent has been waiting for you on an empty server twice already.
I approved the new schedule that is some days behind the deadline. Please play the match at the appointed time and inform your opponent of any changes in time (e.g. mercs, servers, etc).
Our server IP for this match is 46.105.249.221:27025
I will send the password to your leaders shortly beforehand :)
I am posting this on MvP.hl’s behalf:
The lack of communication between the teams is not because of laziness or misunderstanding on how ETF2L works and how you communicate with your opponents, but because of real life commitments. Most of the highlander team’s members are from the same city, and are involved in a local gaming organisation that arranges LAN events. Recently they have organised a particularily big LAN event (which hosted a TF2 tournament, by the way!), requiring a lot of commitment and time, and consequently this has resulted in inactivity, which makes it hard to find room for playing official matches. Furthermore, studies usually catch up with you this time of the year, so some people have to focus on that too.
It is unfortunate that team MAHOGANY has waited for the highlander team to show up twice to no avail, but sometimes real life commitments have to take priority over TF2.
That being said, I wish both teams good luck on the match when it’s played, and I hope you understand why the players in the highlander team have been hard to reach.
Thanks for the information. I can understand how the lan event would have made it impossible to play now. However, we still would have appreciated a simple message on this page to let us know so we didn’t have to go through all this nonsense.
Gg guys
Game finished, it’s a shame you guys got put in div 5 when you wanted 6. Hopefully you’ll get put in the right one next time.
First Map (Lakeside):
3-0 Victory to MAHOGANY
Second Map (Foundry):
5-0 Victory to MAHOGANY
Apologies with the error, I accidentally ran the ETF2L script again after the first round (which we won) so we in good sportsmanship agreed to disregard that round win and start again from 0-0.
The screenshot that has been uploaded for map two is incorrect and is from another match.
This is a correct one:

We’d also like to point out that although we were presented with the use of Merc ‘DT50/closeFrag’, MvP broke ETF2L rules by using a second merc.
Not only were we not informed of this second merc, but the player in question ‘Snapphanen’ is ex-Div3 and therefore is not suitable for use in Div 5 highlander.
