gg granary
yeah, wp on granary. Gpit was actually really fun until whatever happened with the cfg too.
Hello,
After discussing it with fellow admins and reviewing the supplied demos. We decided the round win goes to rehash. Making the total score on gpit 2-1 in favor of rehash. This because neither team complained about the faulty config during the round, while it was apparent from round start. As a result this config than declared them the winner making rehash the fair winners.
We advise both teams to be more careful about configs in future matches. As it was clear from the start of the round something was wrong. Incorrect timelimits and scores were being displayed. Something both teams failed to noticed. This makes that neither teams have grounds to complain as they’re both at fault.
As for now we are unable to recreate the problem. So if at all possible we would like to get access to either an stv demo or the server logs, to get a better understanding of what went wrong. For now we assume it’s something like foregetting to call mp_tournament_restart at the start of the round.
If both teams can agree on it they are welcome to replay gravel pit as a bo1. If not we kindly ask you to upload the results with the appropriate screenshots as soon as possible.
Good luck in the rest of the season to both teams!
Cheers,
Beef
typical etf2l admin response if im honest, hardly suprised by this even though the config was messed up the most fair decision to do is to replay the last round. Bracing for a forum ban or some other bullshit as thats what usually happens when someone posts a reply the admins dont like.
Some people just don’t know very much about configs. You don’t decide who is the better TF2 player based on their knowledge of in-game configs. Chris would be rolling in money from LAN events if it worked like that.
dont exactly know how they are supposed to know what a correct config looks like when it loads. i doubt 99% of the community would even look or check (or even know what they are checking for)
the round should be rescheduled.
Round should be rescheduled
BULLSHIT
etf2l at its finest.
