Unfortunately I have some bad news: Equilibrium used 3 mercs. This means a default win for CKRAS, and a minor warning for Equilibrium. Keep in mind unverified players also count as a merc!
For those interested in the actual scores, it was 0-5 to CKRAS on obscure and 5-4 to Equilibrium on badlands.

A team that is punished for doing an effort to stay in the league with players who started the season in the team and are considered mercs just cause they dropped and rejoined without joining other teams is not unfortunate is just lack of good judgment.

It’s not a bad move by the admins, they kept to the rules, I’m glad they got punished just because you’re prem doesn’t exempt you from the rules, REDACTED.
Is it allowed to call people idiot in ETF2L?
Nobody deserves special treatment because they’re prem but what happened here was not a simple matter of using 3 mercs. Me and stuntz have been in the team since the beginning (more than half an year) and only left the etf2l roster for 1/2 weeks. Even if it meant to close your eyes, sometimes it could be the best solution. Look less to the rules and more to the people and if possible understand what happened in each case and all the circumstances involved cos in the end this is just a game.

Beside the maximum 2 mercs Rule (2.1.2) it is not defined in the Rules that unverified Players are counted as mercs.
The minor warning for the use of an unlisted player is simply wrong. And when this is wrong the other minor warning is wrong as well.
I agree that the rules should be the same for everyone but I also belief that admins should do their decisions with even more caution when it comes to the premier devision. In this example you could argue that both unverified players didn’t join another team while not being with eQ, and that it is for the best interest of the top tf2 scene to keep a team, who puts so much effort in not dropping, in the season.

it does. Let’s look back at the very first match they had in this season against TCM? what happened? the exact same thing. Only it was TCM getting a default loss. Not equil, and I didn’t hear them telling the admins not to make it a default win back then. Then why now? Just because it happens to themselves? :)
inb4 “Kaidus wasn’t on TCM before this” He was unverified. So was the equil guys, even if they were on the team before. let’s just move on.
eQ could have taken the default win even if they hadnt played vs TCM because the match was already long gone past the official date, we wanted them to play and allowed any players they had and could get for that game.
I think we only asked byte if it was ok, with the admins, having unverified players and he said they would get minor points for that.
At that time we lost badlands and won gully we didnt complained after. Its wasnt our call as it isnt CRKAS call on this, its the admins call theyre the referees. Were just pointing out our opinion theres no need to get offended.
Lame.
why did they leave the team?

And still Retsh0ck is not Unregistered. So the warnings are wrong.
Unverified players are mercs because of the fact that they’ve just joined the team. If there were no “unverified time”, you could just swap players between different teams to circumvent the whole idea of mercs.
I’m more interested why they left the team in the first place. Especially so, since they didn’t even join another team.
