Hey, so, week three coming up. I’m open to any suggestions you may have for a time and a date, but ideally we’d prefer a weekend, as most of us are in school/college. Most of us are on EST as well.
    Thanks in advance.

  2. RNG God: IWatch said:

Suggesting 7:30 PM EST on Friday.

  3. RNG God: IWatch said:

If you receive word from my deputy for a different time, ignore it. It was a mistake.

  4. Default Date said:

Because this match has not been scheduled by either of the teams, a default date has been set for this match.
The default date is: Saturday, 16 October 2010, 01:30
Please play this match on the appointed time and submit the results.

  5. iamlouie: KmN said:

So, is this 1:30PM or 1:30AM?

  6. RNG God: IWatch said:

Admin, I must protest this date.

I’ve been trying to contact Kill Me Now since Monday, and have met with no success. While doing so, I knew that several members of my team, most notably myself, would be unable to play at certain times. For me, that time is Saturday afternoon, when I have an event scheduled months ago. And now, after you have stepped in to post a default date, you assume that neither team attempted to decide upon a date; to add insult to injury, only NOW does KmN show up. Members of the opposing team, I mean no offense, to be sure. I am however quite annoyed that you both failed to attend your match with JS and then ignored my comments, leading to the situation in which we find ourselves.
But again, my real emotion here is directed towards whichever admins merely saw that a date was not agreed upon and set one without taking into consideration the efforts made by me and my deputy to arrange a match. I understand that you have 251 groups to manage, and I sympathize. But I beg you to reconsider and allow us to pick another date.

Kill Me Now, if you might consider moving the game to sometime Sunday, it would be greatly appreciated, as Friday is now out of the picture. Otherwise, I am afraid it is likely– though not certain, so let me check– that we will be unable to play.

Chill, RNG God. Your first post stated that you wanted to play on Friday evening, 7.30 pm EST. Look at the schedule! 1:30 am CEST on Saturday which is 7.30 pm EST on Friday evening!
I complied with your request, how should I know that you can not anymore play on Friday evening? You did not write anything like that on this match page.
Anyway, you are free to reschedule. Simply propose another date and get your opponent to accept but remember that the match deadline is next sunday.

  8. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Thank you, this time works perfectly. RNGgod (and myself) forgot that this site uses CEST as standard, and assumed the match date had been scheduled for Saturday afternoon, our time. This time should suit us perfectly. Now, all we need is a server. Would you be able to help us with this, by any chance? There’s a chance we can obtain a functioning server, but it would be good to have some options.
Sorry again about the failure in communication.

  9. RNG God: IWatch said:

CanFo, please accept my sincerest apologies. I received misleading information while traveling home and responded before double-checking.

Again, I apologize for my mistake. The time is perfectly acceptable.

  10. iamlouie: KmN said:

Dear IWatch, I know this is a late request but we would really like to play this match and we’re wondering if we can reschedule for Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010 between 1PM – 5PM EST.

  11. RNG God: IWatch said:

Louie, I can’t say for sure that all my people can be there, but I’m willing to accept for 4 PM EST. It’s a good time, and I feel I owe you one after my little bout of insanity yesterday.

It also gives us time to find people to show up. So I’ll propose the time and date for Sunday 4 PM EST.

  12. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

That should be alright. Would 4PM EST be alright for you?

  13. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Also, is there any way your team could provide a server? None of our ranks currently have that ability.

  14. iamlouie: KmN said:

4PM on Sunday would be perfect. Thank you for your understanding.

Also, do you guys have a server for us to play on?

  15. iamlouie: KmN said:

I’ll have to ask around our team regarding a server but I would suggest you guys do the same since I can’t provide any guarantees.

  16. RNG God: IWatch said:

    We do not, sorry.

  17. iamlouie: KmN said:

We’ll get back to you regarding the server.

  18. iamlouie: KmN said:

RNG God or Mr Pingas, could you please change the match date from tonight to this coming Sunday? I don’t have the admin powers for our team.

  19. RNG God: IWatch said:

Ah. I, well, I proposed a new date. Your leader has to accept it.

  20. iamlouie: KmN said:

    Okay, I’ll let him know.

  21. iamlouie: KmN said:

RNG God and Mr Pingas, I checked the ETF2L website and we can borrow a server from them. See here: http://etf2l.org/rules/faq/#8. Do you mind if you can arrange the server with ETF2L since I don’t have admin rights to my team?

  22. iamlouie: KmN said:

I requested to borrow a server in this thread: http://etf2l.org/forum/highlander/topic-13130/page-3/?recent=233072#post-233072.

I’ll post here or contact you guys via Steam once I get confirmation on the server information.

  23. jesuscondom: KmN said:

Hey Louie, I made you a team leader. I’m sorry for my absence, I’ve been in Pittsburgh and NJ the past 2 weeks on business, it’s made dealing with this very difficult.

  24. iamlouie: KmN said:

    Jesuscondom, thanks.

RNG God and Mr. Pingas, I sent you both friend requests. My Steam name is iamlouie.

I’ve managed to secure us a server for Sunday and once I go through all the details, I’ll post them here or try to message you on Steam.

  25. iamlouie: KmN said:

Iwatch, I submitted a proposal for the correct time of 22:00PM CEST which is 4PM EST/8PM GMT.

Currently, the match is scheduled for Oct 17, 2010, 16:00 CEST which is 9AM EST.

  26. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Excellent, thanks so much! Is the server’s host aware that the server’s settings need to be set to ETF2L requirements for the match?

  27. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Sorry, I’ve just looked at that thread. Cool, thanks so much!

  28. iamlouie: KmN said:

Yep, the server is configured for ETF2L. I’ll get the details to you guys this evening.

  29. iamlouie: KmN said:

IWatch, here’s the server info for tomorrow’s match:
    SERVER INFO: flashrage.flamesandash.com:27025
    SERVER PW: reddit

I’m currently at work, so if you need to contact me, here is probably the best but I’ll be on Steam tomorrow afternoon. You can also contact jesuscondom and a potato.

  30. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

Thanks so much for all of this. It’s been extremely helpful to us.

  31. iamlouie: KmN said:

IWatch, just wanted to give you guys a head up, we may need to use a merc or 2 tomorrow.

Kerrz (http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198008398827) may fill in if necessary.

  32. iamlouie: KmN said:

[GWYM] desperatechaos [OK] (http://steamcommunity.com/id/desperatechaos) is another merc we may use in case we fall short with our regular members.

Kerrz and desperatechaos are both registered with ETF2L.

  33. RNG God: IWatch said:

We’re fine with mercs; we had to use some last match, and we may need some this time, too.

Louie, once again, thank you for putting so much effort into all this. Especially because this match doesn’t really matter; neither of us will be advancing. So I’m glad it looks like we can still have a good match.

  34. iamlouie: KmN said:

Yeah, advancing is not a big deal for us. We just don’t want 2 default losses due to lack of people available.

  35. iamlouie: KmN said:

Do you guys want to use Polycount weapons? That way we don’t have to worry about which weapons we can’t use and might add some spice to the game.

  36. Mr Pingas: IWatch said:

We can’t use polycount weapons, the Highlander rules forbid it.

  37. iamlouie: KmN said:

We had to change the server to connect 188.165.212.152:27110 ; password matchbox.

  38. RNG God: IWatch said:

    Anyway.

Thanks again, Louie, for being such a big help. You weren’t even a leader originally, yet you stepped in.
Sorry, again, that we weren’t there. It seems half of my team lost their brains. I know this means that you never got to play a match, and that’s not fun.

I guess good luck to Janus Syndicate, and at least we tried, eh?

  39. iamlouie: KmN said:

No big deal. We tried! Was nice meeting you guys. Maybe they’ll have another of these tournaments in the future and we’ll run into each other again.

Good luck to you and your guys.
