This comment is just to have a record of the scheduling-related discussions about this match.
TBB leader Oliver Closoff and I have previously discussed that playing this match on the Week 2 weekend is impossible for many members of my team due to Thanksgiving (Canada). We previously thought maybe we could play during this week but this turns out to be equally inconvenient. Therefore Oliver suggested to me via email that we play on the weekend of Week 3 (15-16-17 October, exact date TBD).
I talked to Netsky today on IRC and he (she? IRC doesn’t really convey that well :P) indicated that we can play this match on the weekend of Week 3. We will try and schedule it ASAP but it is unlikely that we will be able to finalize before today’s Week 2 scheduling deadline. I guess this is where I ask that assignment of a default date be postponed if possible, please.

By the way, Oliver asked me if it’s okay to have 1-2 mercs and I said it was okay. We didn’t agree to 3 mercs.

We had a few people who didnt show up, i asked if we could use a few mercs and i didnt know it would be such a problem to use 3. Apologies.
Thing is the rules say 2 mercs are always allowed, and 3 if the opponent agrees. You said 1-2 mercs and I said okay because we basically have no choice in that case. If you had said 3 I would have asked my team. I’ll follow up with admin but I doubt you’re in much trouble.
Did your other match happen btw?
just to clarify i never specifically said anything specifically about 1-2 mercs, i just said we were going to use a few and it was ok’d, you said thats fine we might have to use one ourselves, and we played with who we had, there was never any negotiation over how many mercs were to be used.
That is incorrect; you asked “do you mind if we use 1-2 mercs?” and I said okay as long as they were registered on the site but we wouldn’t mind too much if they weren’t. I said this because that is the rule: you can use 2 mercs no matter what we say. However you used 3 mercs which is something we never agreed to, we were not asked about, and we were only made aware of upon uploading the result.

congratulations, you won on a technicality, you guys are so good. It must be nice to use underhandedness and unsportsmanlike behavior to get other teams DQ’d because youre not actually good enough to win. Enjoy getting crushed the next round in the tournament you freaking sore loser.
