    Hey!

I were wondering what time you could play the AFS match against us. Monday, Wedensday and sunday suits us fine. Preferably after 21:00 CET :)

    Hello Team Effort,
    Hello ETF2L admins,

at first I would like apologize to Team Effort for using “merc” without permission. Please let me explain to you, how could this happen:

T.iN.T.a is our former member. He played with us about one year. A several months ago he decided to play with Ethanol Monkeys, so he left our roster on ETF2L. This team flooded at january. T.iN.T.a was semi-active and sometimes he played as merc for several czech teams (including us). During last 2 months T.iN.T.a started play with us again. Last ETF2L season we finished without him, but in other leagues and mainly in PCWs he plays with us almost every day.

You can check it on Wireplay – http://tf2.wireplay.co.uk/index.php?pg=clans&action=viewclan&cid=98&tab=Members (JOIN DATE – 19/05/10) or Ubercharge Tournament, where he played with us on first round – http://tf2.cups.gamesports.net/en/cup/1/match/1888/

I hope that you understand that I just forgot add him again to our roster at ETF2L. Season 7 finished 2 month ago, this was our first match on ETF2L since then and I just didn’t realize, that he wasn’t on our roster there. We definitely not wanted to play with merc without telling it to you.

    For ETF2L admins:

We are 70th registered team on this site. We were participating in all ETF2L main competitions except Season 1 and 1st Cup. We played there almost 60 matches and in any single match there wasn’t any problem with our team. From these 60 matches we have ONE Mirror warning in this match – http://etf2l.org/matches/17317/ – my fail jump with demo on well. We never tried to cheat, breake rules, play with unauthorized player or something like that. We are fair team, we play fair and we always will.

Do you really think that we deserve default loss, when it’s obvious that T.iN.T.a wasn’t merc and that it was just stupid “administrative mistake”?
Match was played 100% correctly. This is “fun season”, there are no prizes, we can’t gain anything, just fun.

Could you please be so kind and reconsider your decision in this case?

    Best regards,
    Trex

We won 6-1 on blands, they won 4-3 on obscure.

Well good that u guys took that default win then!

When this was discovered we didn’t do anything else than ask an admin what consequences using an unauthorized merc should have. The reply was a that it should cause a minor warning and a default win. However I fully agree that it was kinda cynical and dickhead of us to actually take the default win.

I fully understand Cavalier’s frustration, and even though the rules are crystal clear, I don’t believe we would make any fuzz if the admins were to reconsider the decision (it’s your responsibility to contact the admins in a proper way, if you wanna try). If they won’t, then I think we can both agree that you’ve learned to always double check the roster before a game … :)

I hope there’s no hard feelings between us – we certainly don’t think less of you. The games themselves were, as I said, pretty good, and you deserved to win on Obscure (but WTF happened in the end? :D).
