as people said, only do it if youre on last and the only one spawning. going demoman is better then though. if you save the round its worth the trouble with switching out with your demo once he spawns, if he dont, no big loss.
no rule against the above before you ask, you can have only 1 demo alive and thats what youre doing. sure its gay but its not cheating

It’s kind of a last ditch tactic, but yes, medic -> pyro on last is occasionally an alright idea if you just want to keep them off the point for a few seconds until more spawners arrive.

If you realised they had crits and you didnt have uber YOU SHOULD HAVE BACKED OFF.

What would you have done, kill binded and went pyro?!?!?!?!?!

It sounds a bit like you want to do something other than medic.

However, if you think a pyro would help on last, the medic is DEFINITELY not the right class to switch out.

Seriously cant tell if troll.

After reading my post again I discovered that I made a fatal explanation. I said when “pushing to last” and I really meant “defending the last” point. Now that is a different situation. I would never walk that long distance to a point as a pyro, and loose the valuable uber-building. I would instead wait in the spawn for the next demo or soldier coming up and then waited of course to push when ubered.

Sorry for confusing all of you.

Get a Scout or Soldier to switch out to Pyro, not you as medic. Even if you do blast back them crit rockets/stickies no medic will guarantee a round loss anyway as your team will not have the heals to push out and they will have extra heals to push back in even after they forced uber not to mention the fact they will have Kritz again in 30 seconds against no uber from your team again so you’ll have to keep reflecting stickies + rockets in the hope they will be dumb enough to let you keep doing it when they have 6 unubered players to aim at and killing even 1 person with the kritz will give them enough to keep pushing because of your teams lack of medic.

TL:DR – Medic = most useful class in 99% of all situations, I suggest you play a different class if you wanna off-class.

He cheated on the test and copied the answers off Davesan. He will not graduate this semester.

The only time I found switching like this is take badlands your 6 down they are about to get second moving to last. Your spawn as a medic is a few seconds earlier than your team (as in you died earlier than your team and got a faster spawn). You may op to switch classes to try and get time to defend the point. Good example of this I can remember was on viaduct agron went demoman and ryb went medic due to spawn waves that was a few seasons ago though.
But Adam is right if you don’t know it’s a good idea it prob isn’t.

The only reason I could see this is like others said, if all of the team is down and the medic is the only one alive.

In that video it shows a good example of switching out classes.
(fast forward the video to 6:15)
