Just played a mix and as usual, ping was crazy, from 50 to 100 all the game, changing constantly… It makes everybody warp in my eyes and the game is unplayable as i have almost 1sec delay when i shoot a rocket (and other cool stuff like ppl appearing in front of me, etc)

Its weird coz everything seems ok (im not a pro at those things :/), so i really dont know whats happening.

Could it be a port issue?

Btw i played a jump map on the chillout server 5 minutes befoe and my ping was stable….

Just a quick thought.. If you use a router, have you tried resetting it? I sometimes get ping issues, but when I reset the router everything is fine again (for a few weeks, anyway).

Well thats what i thought, but reading Adam’s message made me think that i didnt installed anything since it worked from the beginning with win7.

It was 2am so i didnt try for long but seems that its working now…

Unable to test packet loss? Do you perhaps have ICMP ping blocking on? I had to disable it in my router for a while otherwise I warped horribly

No i dont have the new steam UI. I played last night, was almost good, ping was almost stable.

Played on the rats DM 10 minutes ago, and was a fucking mess…40/100 all the time.

Weird thing is, when i ping a server from cmd, even if its one i’m lagging on while ingame, everything seems ok (with 20 loops, only one loop times out sometimes)

Playing with m0re highfps, dx9, tried with and without multicore and didnt change anything :(

I dont have any box/routeur, cable modem, my connection is great everywhere apart from the game.
