So wierd. I wanted to make an account and entered my steamid but it said it’s invalid when I checked it myself. After 10 trys with my steamid that doesn’t work for some magic reason in rage I switched the second 0 with 1 and now it’s some other dudes steamid on my account -.-.
My steamid is 0:0:28947814
and i change it to 0:1:28947814
… -.-‘ can an admin change it please ? to 0:0:28947814…ty!
Done.
Cheated much with your old account?

Well I didn’t cheat on my old account. On my old account when I copied my steamid from the console I accidentally copied another one, of a dude who had a vac ban -.-. I know epic fail.

The steamID was changed when Anakin posted, and that links to the VAC account. It’s not the wrong one.

My Steam-ID is marked as not valid even though it´s the same as always and of course it´s the one i use. I didn´t change anything since i joined etf2l.
Can someone fix it?

Your steam community link works in your profile, where are you seeing this?

It read in his etf2l profile page 13 hours ago. I guess someone fixed it already.

He’s not the only one. There’s several with it, or at least there were last night.
Anakin has a script that queries Valve’s steam community database. Apparently it queries every steam id to check that the profile/id is correct.
His explanation for yesterday’s issues was that the Valve database went down as it was checking some users, hence they were marked as invalid. It was a temporary issue that was resolved when the script ran again.
Personally, I don’t see the point for a valid id to be checked again. The script would make far more sense to only check IDs that are new or have been changed on the ETF2L site.
Anyway, all users whose IDs match in-game and on the site (and are registered on ETF2L correctly/not banned) are fine to play, should this occur again.
