PREC, Records a demo but the file isn't there

I’ve got this problem where PREC is apparently recording but when I try and play the demo and look in my tf folder the demo isn’t there, it logs the demo name and bookmarks etc in the killstreak folder but the demo they relate to doesn’t exist, this doesn’t always happen.
Any help/ideas would be appreciated :)
P.S. this probably happens about 50% of the time
I think I used to have this when an illegal character was used in either of the team names (in the mp_tournament dialog).
EDIT: Could be the ? in box which is the illegal char

write missing demos names.
P.S. in 1.4.2 i added replacing /\:*?” with _ in team names

Ah I think it might be the “?” since 20100218_1944_cp_well_boX?_LT isn’t there but
20100219_0150_cp_badlands_RED_BLU is :)
