I also use Daemon Tools and know a lot of people who do, but consider it a possible reason your friend’s steam produced some sort of dysfunction.

I’ll agree. I’ve had Daemon Tools running alongside TF2 since the OrangeBox preorder beta, and no VAC bans so far.
On a rare case that someone does get an accidental VAC ban, valve will unban you. But I think there’s been around 6 known cases of accidental VAC bans in total.

Well I guess there’s that little possibility, that someone has done that cheating for him. Is there any chanse of finding out what IPs had used it the last few weeks – month? Cause if there’s some other IP than mine like few month ago or his, than it’s a possible hacking of account, I guess…
Not my problems, I’m playing the game and havin’g no issues, just curious what could actually make this problem show up.

Your friend is bullshiting !!!!! Got my steam account for 7 years now and didn’t had a problem with it.
