Nope, the system is delierately setup so that you cannot change your Steam ID for some very good reasons. However none of those apply to you im sure, so just make a new account and it should be all good. :)

Do you like cheating or something? both of your accounts are VAC banned.

Tell VAC that…

And failure at me for not checking. I just expect people to be slightly more decent than that.

to be fair, quite a lot of higher div people also had the “bans on record” thingy and they are still playing, so… Isn’t that from the old VAC system, meaning HL1 bans etc?

Could be. But once a cheater always a cheater.

but thanks for your open-minded view on that topic :)

This guy got two accounts, the first one is from 2007, and looks like the “old” one since it was over one year ago since he logged in, and both of those accounts got a VAC ban on it, so he managed to get vac banned two times over the past two years. He would prolly be banned more times if he have made more accounts and bought cs.

This tells me he deliberately have cheated alot of times and got busted for it.

Imo you cant really compare that to a guy who have had the same account for 6 years and got vac banned for cheating once in cs when he was 14 :)

How could you have VAC steam bans before Steam existed?

Stupid mistake, just 14 year old kid etc are just nonsense arguments. If you are 14 years old and can’t understand why you shouldn’t cheat or don’t understand the consequences you are mentally handicapped.

What do you mean?

@Swiss Cheese: If by “old vac system”, you mean VAC1, all the VAC1 bans were either 1 or 5 years, and were from 2003/2004, and all of those have been reverted (and some may be reverted soon).

HL1 and HL2 both uses VAC2 since late 2004, and that’s permanent bans. The bans are engine specific (e.g. a player banned on CS 1.6 will be banned from all HL1 games, not Source).
