black screen when alt-tabbing and tabbing into the game

so i have the problem that my game always needs about 5 seconds to tab back into the game again. in the meantime my game crashes about 50% of the time while doing that. i havn’t changed anything in my cfg or game at all but got a new mobo and gpu some weeks ago. does anyone know how to fix this?
note: i play in full screen and dont wanna play in windowed mode
edit: i’ve already tried to reset my cfg and stuff with -autoconfig but this didn’t score any result after all

do you have -nod3d9ex in your launch options? ive used it for a long time and it fixed alt tabbing + mbl overlay being plain white for me.

yes, i’m using that to fix my white mumble interface. it didnt fix teh black screen when alt tabbing tho
apparently removing the -nod3d9ex command line from the launch options fixed the problem for me and my mumble overlay is not white this time. gotta love the engine
