Started happening after the latest update and it’s annoying the shit out of me.
P.S. In tf2, obviously.
I’ve had this problem before and it always ended up fixing itself, so can’t really help you out here :/
tried a new hard disk yet? might be it’s queueing tasks and IO hangups are the first noticeable sign of failure

Disabling Steam overlay worked for me a long time ago, but I’m not sure how helpful it is without more information about what kind of a computer you’re running the game on or what kind of config you have in use.
Well if it helps, I have old ass athlon II x2 250, ati radeon hd 4670, 8 gigs ram, win 7 64 bit, dx 8, windowed borderless. Chris higframes. Fps is usually around 150 idle, 60-70 in combat and ping around 40.
