Can’t remember for how long, but I tried to deal with it. Kinda got enough of it now
So, how come it doesn’t work, and how can I fix it?
It DOES play the little sound, and display the recording message, but ALL the demos are corrupt.

Well there are a few things you can try, i had a problem with it at some point. i tried the prec_dir command which is supposed to save your demos in another folder but it didnt record them at all, if you are using that command try Prec_dir “” in autoexec.
if this is not the problem then you should try recording a demo manually and see if the file corrupts if it doesnt corrupt then its a prec problem, if not its a problem with source or tf2.

Alternatively, upload one of your corrupt demos for someone else to try and play them. If they can play them, the issue might just be with your tf2 rather than your demo recording (prec or not).
also, remove p-rec from tf/custom file. because it’s broken, my tf2 didn’t work and I had to uninstall & install tf2 back

the only thing thats broken is your ability to read the FAQ and put addons in correct folder

It is a prec problem, because it works just fine when I do it manually.
And it doesn’t matter where I save the demos, just never works unless I do it manually :(
Have tried reinstalling/downloading prec several times
