I love the /custom/ folder thing because you can keep your files organised, and if you run multiple servers on the same machine, you don’t have to keep copies of config and whitelist files everywhere because you can just symlink the /custom/ folder.

However, while putting, for example, the etf2l configs in /custom/etf2l/cfg/*, everything seems to work fine when the server is started, manually exec’ing a config through rcon later doesn’t work:
rcon exec etf2l_6v6_5cp yields an error along the lines of “file doesn’t exist”.

Anyone have experience with this and maybe have a solution?

I had the same issue few weeks ago with my servers. So i just decided to use the “cfg” folder like before the steampipe update. Now everything is working just fine.

Yeah that’s what I’m doing now too. Shame it has to be so :(

Let valve know somehow? It doesn’t sound intentional, but rather something that would be overlooked/forgotten.
