Fiber Optic Broadband Help...

Hi guys,
I got BT Fiber Optic broadband last Wednesday. since it was installed I was getting 4meg max. After phoning an engineer to come and have a look we found that my land line was fine at 80meg but still no higher than 4meg on my PC. We tried my laptop with the same Ethernet cable I use for my PC and it was coming back at 79meg, which is great… Once I plugged it back into my PC and did a line test again it went back down to 4meg. Does anyone know what the problem is? Please help me :(

i had the same, uninstalled “network icontrol” and it got fixed

Probably worth mentioning with BT the first week with your internet it is almost always throttled.
Bigfoot network manager was capping my download and upload speed. upload:1.00 and dload 4.11. Not sure why it did this because it didnt do it when when i had normal 18meg internet.
