Do you mean you put it back in (after removing it previously) or you had left it in and now you’ve removed it?
Are you running fullscreen mode? I run borderless windowed in order to be able to tab in and out quickly.
I’ve also found issues with steam overlay recently, just assumed it was me doing something stupid :D

also make sure, you didnt activate the “energy-save-mode” to watch germanys next topmodel without power at 5 am…
please close this shit!
i just had activated the “energy-save-mode at my laptop, cause i was watching something in the late night. and had no power-cable for my laptop… and this reduced the performance obviously……………

ps. -dxlevel in launchoptions, still helped me with more fps!
