Figuring out ones optimal rates

^ Basically the topic. Sometimes damage-registration behaves really weird in this game.
More often than not I shoot rockets where the splash hits an enemy on my screen without registering any damage on the actual server.
This is quite annoying ,especially since I play roamer and have to make every rocket count.
I know that for example certain cl_interp values are more optimal for different classes since hitscan and projectile weapons don’t behave the same.
Maybe it also variates depending on ones connection?
I really have no idea, complete beginner when it comes to this type of stuff.
Just wanted to ask you how to figure out ones optimal rates. Like,is there a fixed standard for everything or maybe a formula to figure stuff out?
As of right now I’m using these rates (don’t know if standard or modified by the cfg that I downloaded):
cl_interp 0.015200
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_updaterate 67
cl_cmdrate 67
rate 30000
And my internet-connection in case it’s relevant for anything:

Thanks in advance for the answers :D

no wonder you don’t hit anything with THOSE rates

umm yeah,it’s all the rates fault… (._)(._) (_.)(_.) *whistle*

avg ping? ~30-45ish? use 60k rate 0.02 interp 67 67 gg no re
ty,gonna try using that from now on
It seems like my downloaded cfg added some extra modifications and I have no idea wtf they do xD Anyways,I changed the stuff that tviq suggested and it now looks like this:
cl_cmdrate 67
cl_interp 0.02
cl_interp_ratio 1
cl_lagcompensation 1
cl_pred_optimize 2
cl_smooth 0
cl_smoothtime 0.01
cl_updaterate 67
rate 60000
Anything to still change?

Nothing else can be said here, unless you meant the wording of the idea. There’s no optimal rates, hit registration depends not on rates, but on the server performance and client’s performance (not sure about the latter, but that’s my experience – basically, some people have their hitboxes near the model, while with others, one has to hit air to the side of them for the hit to register). Best you can do is keep interp to the minimum white and adjust it with different people (although keep in mind that the higher it gets, the sooner people will see you around corners compared to you seeing them).
