tf2 uncensored version?

hi guys, I want to ask you one question about tf2 censored version. Censured and uncersored version change exploded body gibs. So my question is how can i change my censored version to uncensored? I searched in google and found some threads about that now everysingle player have censored version, and if you want to change it back you need send a letter to steam support with your tf2 key picture and they change your game version to uncensored is it true?

It could be that only the censored version is available. There might be a way to implement a fix for that, just like for the GTA Vice City censored version.
Other option is that you have the Pyrovision goggles on, but seeing as you were able to create an account on this website (this means “you can read”), that seems pretty unlikely, so I’ll just stick with the first answer i gave.

Put these in your autoexec
violence_ablood 1
violence_hblood 1
There are several ways to change it to the uncut version, however they all base on the clientregistry.blob file being replaced. I wrote a batch file which makes use of xcopy to replace the clientregistry.blob with an uncut one and vice versa to have the game uncut while not having steam do the whole redownload thing when steam restarts.
I did this because all the uncut-launchers wouldnt work for me so if i was you i’d just google “tf2 uncut launcher” or something along those lines, should do the trick.
If all else fails add me on steam and i’ll try to hook you up with the batch/xcopy -method.
edit: Was your tf2 always censored or did it just become censored randomly, if the latter is the case – do what Atkins said.

Contact Steam support. If you didn’t buy your game in Germany they will most likely revert it to the uncensored version. I bought a copy of Orange box in Sweden back in 2009, and it happened to be a cut version of the game. I contacted Steam support and they reverted it to the uncut version without any hassle.
