Hello there smart people of ETF2L community I need your help. I have bought new motherboard, memory & processor but the motherboard seems to be “broken” so I’m looking for a new one and I would love to hear more opinions. I’m looking for a decent motherboard with a budget of 140€. There are two important things I already have a memory and processor as I said before (processor name is i5 3570k and the memory is Corsair Vengeance Low Profile Black 8GB (CML8GX3M2A1600C9) and I need them to be compatible with the motherboard that I want you guys to advice me. Just to make sure I bought ASRock Z77 Extreme4 before and it seems to be broken after few tests with a friend of mine (it’s not both ram & cpu issue). Any help would be highly appreciated. Do you guys think that the 4-pin power connector for the CPU is not enough because there is 8-pin but from what I’ve read on many forums 8-pin CPU power connector is not needed unless you overclock.
EDIT: So far I’ve come up with two solid ideas:
1) GIGABYTE GA-Z77-D3H
2) GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-D3H
Cheers,
n00pe.

Yup, I have that Motherboard as well, with the 3570k, works absolutely fine.
Remember that even if a RAM stick is not noted in the “supported RAM” list, it will likely still work just fine.
The 8pin connector is only required for higher load, the usual TDP of the 3570k under max load should be 77W, so a 4pin will be enough.

Yeah well it’s like 50W without iGPU. Cheers
As far as i know the i5 you have is socket 1155 and your ram is ddr3 so i would recommend ASUS P8Z77-V LX – Ivy Bridge. a friend of mine have that motherboard with the same ram and cpu as you. Ive heard that the p8z77 is good for future upgrades :)
Edit: its around 100-110 euro aswell :)
