Cs 1.6 opengl issue

Hello i know this is a tf2 site but i think i could get some help here, so the problem is that when i launch cs with the launch option -gl it crashes and says it will restart cs in software mode, when i launch it in software mode and change to opengl it crashes. And no i wont play in software mode, it sugs and its bad quality and laggy. Help me!

Install your drivers.
Thou when i downloaded latest driver there was a problem with a INF-file that couldnt be found
I don’t recall from the period I was playing 1.6 that you had to put -gl in launchoptions.
Isn’t there some other console command?

No, and -gl does the same thing as changing the video mode to OpenGL in the options.
