Screen Flickering

When I play source games I am getting a weird screen rippling. I just put my computer on this screen, on another screen it works fine.
The screen is 1080p monitor at 60 Hz.
My GPU is GTX 560.
Doesn’t show up on screenshot…so I guess it is the monitor?#
p.s
The screen I am using was fine on another computer.
p.p.s
The screen flickers on the sides, it seems like it goes light then dark, giving th effect of rising horizontal lines.

Huh, well I worked it out…
It was my fps_max, I want fps_max 132 or 121 but that causes this flicker. Any solutions?
I have this, the thing that fixes it for me is to just change the brightness (doesn’t matter how much).
But then again, I dropped my screen on a LAN so that probably caused it so might be totally different.

Vsync works, but I really don’t like playing with 60 fps. Any ideas?
You dont like playing with 60 fps thats synchronized with your screens refresh rate to give you the smoothest gameplay? I can understand not wanting to play with the mouselag or wanting to play with 60 fps during regular circumstances but if you dont notice any mouselag go for it?
Screen tearing is my biggest hate.
My screen has horrible tearing, Vsync is absolutely shit. The mouselag makes games feel like im playing xbox.. I miss the days where I would pub with vsync and not notice :( ignorance really is bliss sometimes.
Is there a way to not have screen tearing without mouselag? Is it my shitty monitor?

you could try running VSync and force TripleBuffering.

something to read and links to a how-to force triple buffering.
I’ve read about it some time ago and quite a few people report good results, I have no idea if it’s really good though.
EDIT: if you don’t really feel like reading a lot, just download rivatuner http://downloads.guru3d.com/downloadget.php?id=163&file=4&evp=b0d1360d4d6f6dc2017ceaf2b4e67ad7, install it and find D3DOverrider.exe in the programs tools folder (Default: c:program filesrivatunertoolsd3doverrider)

It’s not. Triple buffering means more frames put in the “queue” means even more input la-DISREGARD THAT IM AN IGNORANT NOOB
