Add mumble overlay to movie/demo?

Hi, I was wondering how the mumble overlay is added to, say, the vanilla tv insight. When you record in mumble, dosent it just produce a wav file?
Multichannel option produces wav files for all the players in the channel, so, with some scripting magic, you can create a pseudo-overlay which flashes whenever there’s voice being transmitted from one of the files.
